Our responsibility: sustainability

As a producer and supplier of painting tools, we have been shaping the way work is carried out in the trades for over 100 years. At the same time, we see it as our responsibility to consider the long-term impact of our actions and to continuously improve. For us, sustainability is an integral part of our corporate responsibility – both today and in the future.
Why sustainability?
Sustainability is firmly rooted in our corporate values. We take responsibility towards our employees, our partners, society and the environment, and gear our actions towards long-term stability and development. Our aim is to develop products and solutions that are functionally impressive whilst also supporting the responsible use of resources. Furthermore, we create a working environment that promotes safety, health and opportunities for development – both within our company and throughout our value chain.
Our approach
We view sustainability as a continuous development process. In doing so, we focus on the areas over which we have direct influence: our products and materials, our supply chains, our production and logistics processes, and our employees and partners. Our actions are guided by three key areas of focus:
PLANET – Using resources responsibly
PEOPLE – Taking responsibility for people
PROCESS – Establishing sustainable economic foundations
Implementation in practice
We are constantly working to translate our approaches into concrete measures and to develop them further in a measurable way.
PLANET
We are gradually reducing the environmental impact of our products and packaging.
- Further development of packaging solutions with the aim of increasing recyclability
- Use of selected materials, including certified raw materials (e.g. FSC®-certified wood)
- Testing and development of resource-efficient product solutions
PEOPLE
We respect internationally recognised human rights and are committed to adhering to defined social standards throughout our supply chain. Our social compliance approach includes, amongst other things:
- Prohibition of child labour and forced labour
- Prohibition of discrimination and equal opportunities
- Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
- Requirements for safe and decent working conditions
- Our collaboration with partners is based on established standards, such as the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct.
PROCESS
Sustainability forms part of our business management and is integrated into our decision-making processes.
- Taking sustainability-related criteria into account when making investments
- Gradual development of internal processes
- Transparent reporting and communication of relevant progress
- Involving employees in the further development of our measures
