Constance/Wuppertal - The Storch-Ciret Group is one of the best employers in Germany. The Bergisch company was awarded by the Centre for Employer Attractiveness (zeag GmbH) on the basis of a scientifically based employee and management survey. Every year, zeag GmbH selects the most attractive employers in the German SME sector. The "Top Job" seal 2023 is awarded by former Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel as patron.
Being an employer of choice is an important strategic decision if companies want to be successful in the long term," emphasises Gabriel as patron of the project.
Among other things, the medium-sized company convinced the jury with its particularly good employee feedback in the area of "Culture & Communication".
The continuous improvement of its employer qualities is a matter of course for the Storch-Ciret Group as an employer - this is the third time that the Wuppertal-based manufacturer of painting tools has been awarded the renowned Top Job prize for the best employers in the German SME sector. The independent seal is awarded by the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management at the University of St. Gallen on the basis of an anonymous employee survey.
We are pleased about the feedback from our employees and the award as a top employer. At the same time, we take it as an incentive to continue on our path towards more empowerment," says Managing Director Daniel Rogusch. "The possibility for our employees to independently define their working place and time in teams is a milestone towards self-determined work - but not the end."
The area of "Culture & Communication" was particularly well received by the Storch-Ciret employees surveyed. The appreciative, open corporate culture, combined with flat hierarchies, enables self-determined work in increasingly agile teams. The management level is dialogue-oriented and employees' concerns are always listened to. Decisions are made promptly and transparently - the company encourages the staff to courageously go new ways. A culture of "Duz" promotes good cooperation in the international teams. Working models with flexible choice of time and place enable colleagues to achieve an individual work-life balance.
Storch-Ciret also proves itself to be an attractive employer with its wide range of training and further education opportunities. Whether apprentice, specialist or sales employee, every employee benefits from individual, sustainable support.
Storch-Ciret's excellent employer performance is rounded off by an extensive range of benefits. These range from free fitness subscriptions and discount campaigns, joint company events to celebrate successes together, to diverse additional benefits such as anniversary bonuses or job bike leasing.
The Storch-Ciret Group produces and sells painting tools, and with around 1,600 employees the company is present in 17 countries worldwide.
Employee feedback makes sense in times of crisis
Conducting employee surveys even in difficult times is a concern for the "Top Job" team. "Our studies show that even - and especially - in times of crisis, good employers should know how the working atmosphere is in their company," reports Prof. Dr. Heike Bruch, head of the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management at the University of St. Gallen. "Because qualified feedback from employees is the basis for a strong, crisis-resilient corporate culture."
The "Top Job" employer programme
With "Top Job", medium-sized companies work on their qualities as employers. The seal makes their attractiveness visible to applicants. The basis for the award is an extensive employee and management survey. It is organised by zeag GmbH, Centre for Employer Attractiveness, based in Constance on Lake Constance. The scientific management of the benchmarking is in the hands of Prof. Dr. Heike Bruch and her team from the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management at the University of St. Gallen. The patron of the project is Sigmar Gabriel.
The organiser: zeag GmbH I Centre for Employer Attractiveness
Under the umbrella of the Centre for Employer Attractiveness, zeag GmbH thematically combines the two benchmark projects "Top Job" and "Ethics in Business". zeag thus accompanies medium-sized enterprises that already excel in the fields of human resources management and corporate social responsibility or would like to do so in the medium term.
