How to join the Storch-Ciret team

Looking back, our employees believe the application process was a good introduction to what they appreciate about Storch-Ciret today. Our job interviews take place in a relaxed and appreciative atmosphere. The inform “Du” (you) conveys equality from the very first moment and there’s never any feeling of being put to test. Instead, the focus is on people – and the question of whether we fit together. After all, we want to spend a lot of time together and make it as successful as possible for everyone.

We’re monitoring current developments regarding COVID-19 very closely. Protecting our employees and applicants is our top priority. True to our corporate value of reliability, our recruiting team will continue to be there for you during the coronavirus pandemic. We look forward to interviews and, if necessary, will hold the assessment centre with you digitally. This minimises the risk of infection and still gives us the opportunity to get to know each other thoroughly.

Four steps to success

1. Your application
Once you have found the right position in our list of vacancies, you can apply directly online. With just a few clicks, you can upload your application documents or optionally apply with a video or using your Xing profile – you no longer need a traditional letter of application.
2. Video interview
In the next step, we have the opportunity to gain an initial personal and professional impression of each other and to familiarise ourselves with each other. It is important to us that you can get to know us and to learn more about you and your personality. Our meeting is a dialogue – we look forward to your questions and to seeing you there!
3. Personal introduction
In a personal meeting with your future manager and supported by Human Resources Management, we’ll discuss mutual expectations and ideas. You’ll gain a deeper insight into the tasks, the team and the company. Positions with managerial responsibility, in the sales force, trainees and dual students also need to go through an assessment centre.
4. Welcome to Storch-Ciret
If the application process is positive for both sides, you’ll receive your written employment contract after gaining verbal approval and will start at Storch-Ciret. Welcome to the team!

Simply turn up

Your first days at Storch-Ciret are no jump into cold water. Even before your first day at work, we’re in regular contact with you in order to give you the best possible start. Later on our digital infrastructure will support you smoothly in your day-to-day work, regardless of where you are or when it is. Your Storch Ciret welcome box is on its way to you at the same time – let yourself be surprised!

Personal feedback

From day one, we attach great importance to a structured onboarding process. Your individual induction plan will provide you with guidance and help you to quickly get to know your team, corporate culture and work processes. Your personal mentor is always on hand to answer any questions you may have.
You will be optimally introduced to your tasks in regular feedback meetings with your manager.

Thinking outside the box

Our goal is for you to get to know Storch-Ciret in all its diversity – in addition to your interfaces, this will also give you practical insights into our production and logistics and allow you to experience our products in close proximity. It is important for us to support you and your personal development, to learn from mistakes and to share knowledge.     We use Microsoft Teams for our virtual introductory meetings. It is not necessary to register with this tool. You can also dial in as a guest via your browser.

  • What technical requirements do I need for a video interview?

    The following are sufficient for a smooth process:

    • PC or laptop with webcam and, if necessary also a smartphone or tablet
    • Stable internet connection
    • Possibly headphones or headset with microphone

    If you are unable to meet the requirements, please contact us. We’ll then conduct a telephone interview with you instead.

  • I still have a question about an advertised position. Who can I contact?

  • I’ve received an invitation to an interview with you. What is the best way to prepare for this?

    Your application impressed us. Your experience and competences match with the tasks. It is now important to find out whether we fit together. In this interview, we’d like to get to know you: we want to know who you are and what drives you. And vice versa: you have the opportunity to see us in person.
    The most important thing is therefore to just be yourself. Be authentic.
    In terms of content, the meeting will mainly focus on the core tasks associated with the advertised position.

  • Will I also have the opportunity to work abroad at Storch-Ciret Group?

    Yes, of course! Storch-Ciret Group is an international company with 17 locations worldwide. We welcome colleagues who would like to develop themselves – and the company –  further through an international assignment.

  • I’d like to do an internship with you. Is this possible?

    Thank you for your interest in the Storch-Ciret Group. It is possible to do an internship with us. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a student traineeship role. But you can get to know us in person at events such as the Ausbildungsbörse [Training Exchange] at the Stadthalle Wuppertal. Feel free to drop by!
